Hirundine vs Corvid

Sunny spells with broken cloud, 19°, light SW.

A fairly quiet hill again today with a couple of Chiffchaff, a Reed Bunting and a few Yellowhammer present and 4 Buzzard and 5 Red Kite overhead.

A Jay flew over and headed for the downs chased by several hirundines.
good passage of Hirundines this morning with around 200 birds flying south and a 50:50 split with Swallow and House Martin.

Again several Skylark and Meadow Pipit evident on surrounding farmland.

A few more Chiffchaff on the north side and the Bullfinches still present but further east on the hill and another Jay present.

Chiffchaff, Grey Wagtail, Treecreeper and Nuthatch in the garden today.

Dragonflies: Migrant Hawker & Common Darter.

Butterflies: Several Large White and Red Admiral and a single Speckled Wood.

The Jay being mobbed by a House Martin.
