A mainly wet Christmas period and just relaxing rather than out birding although I probably need the exercise!
The garden has been very busy over the period with almost constant attention by Tit flocks with Long-tailed Tit, Coal Tit, Blue Tit and Great Tit plus Nuthatch, Great-spotted Woodpecker, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Chaffinch, Blackbird, Robin, Wren, Dunnock, House Sparrow, Treecreeper, Magpie, Stock Dove, Wood Pigeon and the odd sweeping visit by a Sparrowhawk,
Out in the meadow there has been the odd visits by Fieldfare, Redwing, Mistle Thrush, Song Thrush, Jay, Moorhen, Buzzard, Red Kite, Rook, Jackdaw, Carrion Crow and Black-headed Gull.
And after dark the Tawny Owls have been regular and heard calling in and around the garden.
