Haymaking

Light cloud, 19°, light NE.

A lot of hay harvesting out at Lollingdon today and subsequently around 20 Red Kite, 3 Buzzard and several Carrion Crow around the fields scavenging anything that got caught by the cutters or caught over open ground moving out of the way.

A Lesser Whitethroat still singing close to the village and a Yellow Wagtail nearby.

The usual Buntings on the hill including the singing Reed Bunting and a couple of Jay noted.

A Kestrel in the garden this morning.

Mammals: Brown Hare.

Reptiles: several Common Lizard.

Dragonflies: Banded Demoiselle, Azure Damselfly and Emperor Dragonfly.

Butterflies: few on the wing today, Large White, Small White, Common Blue, Speckled Wood and Meadow Brown.
