01:45 this morning, tipping down with rain and a Wood Pigeon starts up 10m from my bedroom window! What’s that all about?
[My comment about a Wood Pigeon singing on the night of 18th Jan 2011. Has a strange coincidence with a record of WD (Bill) Campbell. He noted a Wood Pigeon singing from 23:45 to 00:00 on Jan 23rd 1951 during a full moon. My record is the day before a full moon and it was raining. I now live within 25 metres of Bills house where he used to live in Cholsey! Almost 60 years to the day.]

Song Thrush singing at dawn.
Approx 20 Redwing, 2 Mistle Thrush in meadow. Several Greenfinch in garden with usual Great, Blue & Long-tailed Tits and several Chaffinch.
