Buntings

Overcast, 10º, light rain showers, light S.

A brief visit to Lollingdon hill today saw 2 Corn Bunting present and in song at different ends of the hill, also 4 Yellowhammer present in one of the hedgerows and 2 Linnets in the vicinity.

Still good numbers of Redwing, Fieldfare and Starling feeding in the fields to the north of the hill and a Great-spotted Woodpecker drumming again, a couple of Meadow Pipit and several Skylark around.

The usual Gull flock & Lapwings still in the area near the pig fields.

Cholsey marsh still very much flooded, a couple of Teal seen and a single Common Snipe, again good numbers of Redwing and Fieldfare in nearby fields and a couple of Reed Bunting on the marsh and a Cormorant flew upstream.

No Raptors noted today other than Red Kite and Sparrowhawk over the garden!
