Marsh & Garden

Cloudy with a few sunny spells, 16°, breezy NNE.

A short visit to the marsh today, the Dexters all looking okay and feeding well.

Usual stuff on the marsh this morning, the Cetti’s Warbler still singing along with a few Reed Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Chiffchaff, Blackcap and Common Whitethroat and a Garden Warbler and 2 Bullfinch seen.

A Long-tailed Tit family moving through the trees on the marsh, probably around 8-10 birds and at least 6 Reed Bunting still in song and a couple of Yellowhammer.

Apart from a couple of Black-headed Gull along the river there was little else on or flying along the Thames.

The Wren family still in the garden today with the adults actively feeding their young.

Dragonflies: Banded Demoiselle.

Butterflies: Speckled Wood and Meadow Brown.

  1. Thanks for taking the time to take some really beautiful photos. We have been seeing some amazing Blue Jays around our area. We are trying to take a good picture of them. But so far no luck. The young wren look so cute after they have their meal. Have a great day.
