Out for a stroll this afternoon, Millennium Wood, Bullshole
and along the Bunk line passing the Church.
A couple of Bullfinch
and a Chiffchaff in the wood, 12
Black-headed Gull overhead, around
20 Swift in the air over the village
and several Swallow and House Martin also feeding overhead.
Again plenty of butterflies on the wing with Meadow Brown, Ringlet, Small Tortoiseshell,
Large White, Small White, Marbled White,
Comma and Small Skipper, also a Migrant
Hawker dragonfly noted.
A Green Woodpecker
and a Great-spotted Woodpecker in
the garden today and a Painted Lady
butterfly.
