Butterfly Bonanza

Sunny spells, 26º, light SW.

A walk out to the north and east of the village today...........very quiet birdwise. 2 Jay, a Hobby and a Kingfisher of note.

The sunny spells certainly brought out a lot of butterflies with.....................Large Skipper, Small Skipper (very abundant), Small Tortoiseshell, Small White, Large White, Marbled White, Green-veined White, Comma, Red Admiral, Gatekeeper, Common Blue, Brown Argus, (possible Small Blue), Small Copper, Speckled Wood, Ringlet and Meadow Brown

Plenty of Banded Demoiselles along the river and several Brown Hawker were the only dragonflies.

 Common Blue
 5-spot Burnet Moth
