An interesting report by a dog walker of a large Heron like
bird that flew over between Lollingdon and the Bullshole last week and the description
given was quite reasonable for a Common
Crane. Unfortunately cannot be verified and another that got away?
Lollingdon fairly quiet still, a good flock of Thrushes
still with c300 Fieldfare, 100+ Starling and a handful of Redwing still around, also several Pied Wagtail and Meadow Pipit.
2 Lapwing seen at
last year’s breeding site and very few Gulls noted today.
A Coal Tit
singing this morning along Church road.
