A rather uneventful 1000th post.
A few raptors in the air today with 6 Buzzard and 11 Red Kite
soaring high over Lollingdon hill and a Sparrowhawk
flew over.
The only winter thrushes seen today were 3 Redwing and a single Fieldfare that flew over the garden.
Quite a few Greenfinch
noted with 20+ near the Bullshole and several Yellowhammer further out.
A single Corn Bunting
singing on the hill, 2 Lapwing still
present in the area and 200+ Black-headed
Gull following a plough in a field to the south of the hill.
Both Blackcap
still present in the garden and a Pheasant
visited again and a Goldcrest singing in the meadow.
