Winters End?

Sunny spells, 0° but getting milder, cold wind from ENE.

Snow starting to disappear as the day progressed but a chilly wind still.

c25 Lapwing and several Lesser Blackback Gull and Black-headed Gull on the flooded field out at Lollingdon.

Good numbers of “Winter Thrush” around especially in the paddocks, mainly Fieldfare (c300) and around 50 Redwing plus several Song Thrush and Starling and 3 Mistle Thrush.

2 Bullfinch on the hill but that was about it, a few Red Kite and 2 Buzzard soaring overhead and a Sparrowhawk flew thru.

A Fieldfare, Song Thrush and 2 Mistle Thrush in the garden early on.

Mammals: 20+ Roe Deer in several groups and 2 Brown Hare.
