Beast from the East or just Winter?

Overcast with blustery snow and sleet flurries, -3°, light to breezy ENE.

The garden got really busy today as this cold weather continues. A few species visiting that do not usually appear in the garden. A Pied Wagtail, at least 6 Fieldfare and a couple of Redwing as well as all the usual visitors.

Four of the Fieldfare in particular claimed an apple each and defended it against any other bird and were particularly aggressive to any other Thrush that came near.

A Common Snipe flushed from a garden in Church road today and back there later in the day. Per RB.
