A slow day

Showery, 14º, moderate W, blowy and cool in the wind.

A slow day today, around the Obs most of the day with a short visit to Church Ope Cove in the afternoon, very little on the land and sea.

Casual seawatching on and off through the day produced;
2 Sandwich Tern
3 Pomarine Skua
1 Great Skua
25+ Manx Shearwater
100+ Gannet

A steady movement of Swallows throughout the day (200+), a flyover Yellow Wagtail, a Swift and a Spotted Flycatcher and a Pied Flycatcher in the garden (both caught, ringed and released).

A visit to Church Ope Cove in the afternoon proved rather fruitless, however a Peregrine and a Kestrel overhead, a pair of Rock Pipit on the beach, and a single Common Lizard.
