End to End



Sunny, high broken cloud, 10º, light SSE.

Most of the day spent around the bill area at one end of the island and a visit to Ferrybridge at the other end.

A slow day today with minimal Viz-Mig 200+ Swallow and 9 Sand Martin, 8 Wheatear, 2 Willow Warbler, 2 Garden Warbler, a Yellow Wagtail, a (late) Goldcrest, a Chiffchaff, a few more Whitethroat and a Sedge Warbler.

2 ad Stonechat with 2 young.

A casual sea watch produced 3 Arctic Skua, 122 Common Scoter, 12 “commic” Tern, 1 Whimbrel, a 1stw Little Gull, 2 Shelduck, 2 Sandwich Tern and 2 Red-throated Diver.

A visit to Ferrybridge at the other end of the island, 3 Black-tailed Godwit, a Grey Plover, 2 Sanderling, 2 Ringed Plover, 2 Sandwich Tern and 3 Little Tern.

A few butterflies around today including Peacock, Large White, Wall, Holly Blue and Small Tortoiseshell.
