Sunny, 13º, light WSW, still feeling cool.
Early morning spent on Portland then a trip in to Weymouth
to do the holiday maker bit and include a visit to The RSPB reserves of

A casual seawatch from the Obs and a few brief forays nearby
provided the following.
A Great Northern
Diver, 1 Pomarine Skua, 1 Great Skua and an Arctic Skua on the sea and a singing Willow Warbler and Garden
Warbler in the Obs garden, a Lesser
Whitethroat nearby and a flyover Tree
Pipit.
Radipole Lake had singing Reed and Sedge Warblers
also a couple of Cetti’s Warbler.
The Hooded Merganser
is still present in its sixth year and is paired up with a female Tufted Duck.
Lodmoor provided the following: 20+ Dunlin, 4 Bar-tailed
Godwit, 4 Whimbrel, a Ringed Plover, 3 Little Egret, 3 Oystercatcher,
several Bearded Tit, a Marsh Harrier, and a Peregrine overhead chasing a small
