Wind & Rain

Heavy rain and a blustery west wind blowing, 14º, rain easing after midday then foggy and still windy.

The weather was stopping any effective birding today with rain and fog causing poor visibility.

Surprised to see so many Swallows battling through the rain with 50+ in off the sea, also 28 Swift.

On the sea: a single Great Northern Diver, a Pomarine Skua, a Great Skua, c100 Manx Shearwater and 100+ Gannet.

A Chiffchaff, 2 Spotted Flycatcher and 1 Pied Flycatcher in the garden.
