Sunny (but cool) Portland

Sunny, 10º, light E

A slow start to the day with little visible passage until Hirundines started passing through around 08:00 and over the day 600+ Swallow noted along with 3 House Martin and 5 Sand Martin.
Later in the morning the Eastern Subalpine Warbler was relocated in the top fields and performed for the rest of the day.

Other species noted today were 2 Garden Warbler, 10+ Willow Warbler, a couple of Chiffchaff, several Blackcap, 4 Sedge Warbler, 10+ Whitethroat, a Redstart, 3 Swift, 1 Hobby, and a Yellow Wagtail.

4 local Buzzard also put in an appearance over the top fields and the Eastern Subalpine Warbler watched for a time albeit distantly.
