Spring is here



Sunny, 16º, light SSW.

A lovely spring day today and a walk out to Lollingdon, 6 Willow Warbler singing en route and frequent Chiffchaff and Blackcap.

Around 20 Yellowhammer noted with quite a few in song and 10+ Linnet, a Curlew heard nearby but not seen possibly out towards the Lees area.

The hill had 8 Wheatear with another 2 nearby in fields and 6 Meadow Pipit noted.
A single Swallow flew over heading west on the way back.

Plenty of butterflies around today, Small Tort, Brimstone, Peacock, a single Orange Tip & the first Speckled Woods of the year.
