Another Stonechat



Sunshine & showers, 8º, light SE.

A walk out to Lollingdon hill today between showers and a few buntings now singing in the hedgerows on the farmland, 4 Yellowhammer (2 in song) and 3 Reed Bunting (2 in song), several Skylark also in song during the sunny spells. A scattering of Meadow Pipit and Pied Wagtail and still good numbers of Fieldfare, Redwing and Starling around, a Mistle Thrush and several Song Thrush and Blackbird.

Another Stonechat on the hill today feeding in the west corner of the hill in a sheltered area.

3 Red Kite, 2 Buzzard and 2 Kestrel also in the area and both Green Woodpecker and Great-spotted Woodpecker noted.

A pair of Blue Tit nest building in the garden.
