Fog

Foggy, 8º, light SW.

A walk out to Lollingdon hill today in foggy conditions with visibility down to a few hundred metres, needless to say there was not a lot to be seen on the hill itself, I could hear Redwing and Fieldfare and a at least a couple of Lapwing passing overhead but not see them.

A single Raven flew over when on the way back and a singing Reed Bunting and Yellowhammer in the hedgerow, also 22 Greenfinch seen in a 200 metre stretch of hedge was unusual, a few Skylark and Meadow Pipit noted, also a few Red Kite and 2 Buzzards seen.

A singing Chiffchaff at the Bullshole and a Goldcrest singing near the garden and a Blackcap in the garden.

A couple of Tawny Owls heard around dawn.
