Love is in the Air - the Remix.

Misty up until 15:00 then sunny, 11º, light NNE.

Am checking the hill every day at the moment to see if I can catch up with some migrants, however none today (?) but a few more birds than yesterday.

Back in December we had a pair of Ravens that gave us the most spectacular display of aerobatics over the hill. Not to be out done, today there were 3 pairs of Red Kite performing various similar feats, often at quite an altitude, which again kept us entertained for quite some time.

The south face was virtually devoid of any birds except for a few Skylark in song when the sun decided to shine. There were also approximately 20 Fieldfare and 2 Goldfinch that flew over.

A few more Chaffinch present (20+) on the north side, a Grey Heron sat in a tree in a nearby field and a Yellowhammer present in the hedgerow to the east.

A Chiffchaff singing today at the village end of the Wallingford road (per MP).

.....And to finish off a Small Tortoiseshell butterfly seen along the west side of the hill.

 Red Kites

Yellowhammer
 Grey Heron
